This course is structured to meet the requirements of MSHA Part 46.5 New Miner training. This course is intended for the contractor or mine employee that needs the full 24 hours of MSHA training to work at a Part 46 mine. This course will consist of training videos, handouts, presentations, exercises, and quizzes. Your certified instructor will be following your progression through the course and is available to answer any questions you may have.
After satisfactory completion of this course you will receive a MSHA Part 46 training certificate and will be able to work at any Part 46 mining operation in the US. This certification is good for one year.
This course is structured to meet the requirements of MSHA Part 48b Surface New Miner training. This course is intended for the contractor or mine employee that needs the full 24 hours of Part 48b training before beginning work at a Part 48 mine. After completion of this course you will receive a MSHA training certificate (5000-23) signed by your instructor.
This course consist of two modules. The first is the online module that you complete at your own pace. This module will consist of training videos, handouts, presentations, assignments, exercises, and quizzes. Your certified instructor will be following your progression through the course and is available to answer any questions you may have through the live course messaging system or by phone. After you complete module 1, you and your instructor will set up a day and time to complete your training one-on-one via a virtual classroom. You will be required to have a working webcam for this portion of the course. During this module your instructor will expand on some of the topics that you trained on in module one and complete the additional training material required by MSHA.
This course is structured to meet the requirements of MSHA Part 46.5 New Miner training. This course is intended for the contractor or mine employee that needs 8 hours of MSHA training covering all the mandatory subjects to begin work. If you are planning on conducting your own task training to complete the 24 hours of mandatory training, then this course may be a perfect solution for you. After completion of this course you will meet MSHA's requirements to work at any Part 46 mining operation under close supervision of a trained miner until you complete the full 24 hours of New Miner Training. You have 90 days to complete the 24 hours of training. Be aware that if you are a contractor the mine operator may still require the full 24 hours of training to work on their site.
MSHA requires that new miners receive no less than 4 hours of MSHA training before they begin work at a mine. This course is structured to meet the requirements of MSHA Part 46.5 New Miner training. This course is intended for the contractor or mine employee that needs the minimum 4 hours of MSHA training covering all the mandatory subjects required to begin work. This course does not include the mandatory subjects that must be completed in 60 days, which are Respirators and First Aid. New miners that have not completed the full 24 hours of training must be observed by a trained miner at all times. If you are a contractor or mine operator looking for the minimum amount of training required by law to get a new hire on the job then this course may be for you. Be aware that if you are a contractor the mine operator may still require the full 24 hours of training to work on their site.
